Community Outreach

Noel Community Arts Program (NCAP) is deeply committed to enriching the lives of our community members through the arts. We partner with various nonprofit organizations and participate in community events to bring creative experiences to those who may not have access to traditional art and music education. Our outreach efforts are focused on fostering creativity, building connections, and supporting the well-being of our neighbors.

Partnering with Nonprofits
NCAP collaborates with a wide range of nonprofit organizations to provide tailored arts programming that meets the unique needs of their clients. Whether it's hosting art workshops for children in after-school programs, offering music lessons at shelters, or facilitating community art projects, we work hand-in-hand with our partners to ensure that the transformative power of the arts reaches those who need it most.

Community Events
Our involvement in community events is another key aspect of our outreach. From mural painting days to arts festivals, NCAP brings people together to celebrate creativity and community. These events provide an inclusive space for individuals of all ages and backgrounds to explore the arts, connect with others, and experience the joy that creativity can bring.

Funding Partners
Noel United Methodist Church
Noel Community Arts Program (NCAP) was born out of a vision from Noel United Methodist Church, which recognized the transformative power of the arts in fostering community, creativity, and hope. Since our inception, Noel UMC has been our greatest supporter, providing not only the initial inspiration and foundation for our program but also ongoing financial and spiritual support. Their unwavering commitment has enabled us to grow, reach more individuals, and continue offering accessible arts education to the Historic Highland Neighborhood and beyond. We are deeply grateful for their continued partnership and investment in our mission.
Noel Foundation
The Noel Foundation has been a vital source of support for Noel Community Arts Program, playing an instrumental role in our ability to expand access to the arts. Their generous funding has allowed us to offer outreach classes to underserved communities and provide financial assistance scholarships for both children and adults who might otherwise be unable to participate in our programs. The Noel Foundation’s commitment to arts education and community enrichment aligns with our mission, and we are deeply thankful for their ongoing partnership.
Grayson Foundation
The Grayson Foundation’s generosity has been a cornerstone of Noel Community Arts Program's success. Their support has been instrumental in expanding our outreach efforts, ensuring that more individuals in our community have access to the transformative power of the arts. Additionally, their funding has supplemented our financial assistance scholarships, making it possible for more children and adults to participate in our programs. The Grayson Foundation has also enabled us to secure essential equipment and supplies, further enhancing the quality of our offerings. We are profoundly grateful for their continued partnership and support.
City of Shreveport via Shreveport Regional Arts Council
We are deeply grateful to the City of Shreveport and the Shreveport Regional Arts Council for their invaluable support through Project Assistance and Operational Support grants. Their funding has empowered Noel Community Arts Program to bring enriching arts experiences to the community. Thanks to their generosity, we have been able to host engaging art activities at the Highland Jazz and Blues Festival, organize community mural painting events, and establish Highland’s Free Little Art Gallery. These initiatives have fostered creativity, connection, and a sense of pride within our community. We are honored to continue this partnership and look forward to many more collaborative projects.
The United Methodist Foundation of Louisiana
The Methodist Foundation of Louisiana has been a key supporter of our mission to bring the arts to the heart of the community. Their generosity has made it possible for us to host events like the "Art & Appetites" series, which spanned five months as part of Noel United Methodist Church's "Facets of Faith" series. Thanks to their funding, we’ve been able to collaborate with the Church to offer meals and art activities at no cost to attendees, fostering community connection and creative expression. We are truly grateful for their partnership and continued support.
