After a year without ongoing pottery classes, the Noel Community Arts Program is excited to re-open the studio doors and announce a brand-new offering for our ceramics community: Muddy Mondays Pottery Group, led by our newest pottery instructor, Brianne Youngblood.

Starting January 12, 2026, this weekly, open-studio style group will meet every Monday evening from 5:30–8:00 PM in the NCAP Pottery Studio at 520 Herndon (inside Noel UMC).And for the first time in over a year, students will once again have a consistent place to learn, explore, and create with clay on a weekly basis.

🏺 A New Chapter for NCAP Pottery

The past year has been a transitional one for our pottery program—reshaping, rethinking, and rebuilding so we can offer an experience that truly supports creativity, community, and growth. With the addition of two new pottery instructors, we’re thrilled to relaunch with new energy and expanded opportunities.

Our newest instructors:

  • Brianne Youngblood – leading Muddy Mondays, our new weekly open-studio pottery group

  • Ashanti Malone – introducing special-topic clay workshops, including her sold-out Pinch Pot Play class in November

Together, Brianne and Ashanti are helping us reimagine what pottery can look like at NCAP, from hands-on beginner classes to open-studio experiences and creative skill-building workshops.

🌙 What Is Muddy Mondays?

Muddy Mondays is designed to be a relaxed, open-studio style group—a space where adults can learn pottery at their own pace, with guidance whenever needed. Perfect for beginners and experienced potters alike.

Participants will be able to:

  • Learn handbuilding and wheelthrowing techniques

  • Work independently on personal projects

  • Receive individualized instruction from Brianne

  • Build confidence through experimentation and exploration

  • Connect with others who love clay

This format allows each student to grow at a pace that feels right for them while enjoying the support of a creative community.

🎨 What’s Included?

For $150/month, Muddy Mondays includes:

  • All tools and supplies

  • All glaze and kiln firings

  • Use of all studio equipment
