We are thrilled to announce that Noel Community Arts Program (NCAP) has been awarded a $20,000 grant from The Noel Foundation! This incredible support will allow us to continue growing our mission of making the arts accessible, meaningful, and healing for our community.
Investing in Creative Wellness
The grant will directly fund NCAP’s new Creative Wellness Initiative, a nine-month series of community outreach programs designed to bring the power of the arts into the lives of people of all ages. Through visual arts, music, and literary arts, participants will be invited to explore creativity as a tool for stress relief, personal growth, and connection.
Workshops will include:
Music & Art Therapy Sessions – led by licensed professionals, offering hands-on creative experiences for adults.
Literary Arts Workshops – guided opportunities to reflect, write, and share stories in a supportive space.
Photography & Visual Arts Classes – accessible lessons that encourage participants to see the world in new ways.
Community Exhibitions & Open Studios – chances for participants to share their creative voices and connect with others.
Expanding Access to the Arts
In addition to workshops, the grant will also support scholarships for private art and music lessons, ensuring that cost is never a barrier for young artists. It will also help us host community art exhibitions, student recitals, and other opportunities that showcase the creativity thriving in Shreveport.
